I can’t believe that only 10 days ago I couldn’t leave my house in Kenya without putting my hat on my head, being afraid to get sunburn. Now back in Poland I have to use hat as well, but it’s different kind of hat, and also I use it for very different reason.
I’m really happy to be back with my family. Sara has grown a lot, and fortunatelly she has recognised me 😉
Maurice (a member of St.Martin community in Nyahururu) has arrived with me from Kenya. He will stay with our family until January when we all go to Africa.
Since our arrival we have managed to visit Wadowice (The hometown of John Paul II), we stayed a few days with Agnieszka’s mum, then we spent one week in L’Arche Wroclaw (which was very good experience: for Maurice to see L’Arche community in Poland, and for my family to spend some time with our good friends). Sara was really happy to meet her godparents. We have also developed some more ideas for our move to Kenya, but I will write about this in a few weeks (believe me it’s all very good news).
Now we are staying with my parents, who are delighted to have their granddaughter for a few days. Yesterday my sister’s son Antoni celebrated his first birthday. The room was full of baloons, toys and family members. Antoni had his first cake and he was a real star of a day.
We have a lot of plans for a few coming weeks, and we hope we will manage to do all we have planned. We’d like to visit Krakow, Sledziejowice, Wieliczka, Poznan, Warsaw, then we will spend Christmas with our family in Rabka, and finally we plan to spend New Year’s Eve with our community in L’Arche Wroclaw. Our departure for Kenya is scheduled for 5th of January. But I promise to write at least one or two more posts before we leave Poland.
